Forget the old image of Personal Trainers as muscle-heads in tight shirts barking out ‘No pain, no gain!’ Our world-class personal training department is a select group of fitness professionals with undergraduate & graduate degrees in Kinesiology, Exercise Science and related fields, and our professionals are all certified through nationally-accredited organizations. In addition, our fitness professionals walk the walk, meaning they teach group exercise classes, participate in fitness activities, and lead members and clients to a healthier lifestyle by example.


Most gyms provide basic resistance training guidance. However, here at Cityplace Fitness our Personal Trainers provide standard personalized instruction in Resistance Training, Yoga, Martial Arts (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Tai Chi, Muay Thai, Karate, etc.), Pilates, Flexibility, Trigger Point therapy, Bariatrics, Post-cardiac/surgical Rehab and more.


The majority of our Personal Trainers offer both 60-minute and 30-minute sessions, as well as individual instruction (1 client) or doubles training (2 clients). Training with a friend or co-worker is a great way to save money and have a built in accountability partner. Every member of Cityplace Fitness is treated to one complimentary fitness appointment of their choice:
